13th Biennial Thyroid Update 2021 has transitioned to a virtual meeting! We are delighted to bring you updates in thyroid conditions such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules and thyroid cancers. This program aims to clarify the important issues surrounding the diagnosis and management of these common thyroid disorders. Guidelines on hypothyroidism, thyroid nodules as well as well-differentiated, medullary thyroid cancer and anaplastic thyroid cancer have been recently updated.

Objectives
- Evaluate and compare the available molecular tests for thyroid nodules to determine which patients require thyroid surgery and which patients can be monitored.
- Incorporate an interdisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of patients with thyroid disease.
- Evaluate and select newly approved targeted oral chemotherapy agents for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic thyroid cancer refractory to radioiodine therapy.
- Utilize stratified risk assessment for thyroid cancer.
- Identify proper thyroid cancer patient selection for monitoring, lobectomy, or total thyroidectomy.
- Implement American Thyroid Association Guideline recommendations for evaluation and management of thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer.
- Evaluate when to use tissue genotyping in the management of advanced thyroid cancer.
- Integrate a team-based approach in the care of patients with thyroid cancer.
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team involved in the collaborative care of patients with thyroid cancer.
