This symposium is supported by:
EDRA Publishing and the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy An Inflection Point For Myofunctional Therapy, Sleep Medicine, Pediatric Orthodontic Intervention and a Call for Sleep In Public Health
There is growing awareness, research, and consensus of the efficacy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, the need for orthodontic interventions for pediatric populations, and of the potential for the prevention of OSA by recognizing and treating myofunctional disorders early in life. This symposium will present novel clinical models, late breaking research, and possible points of collaboration for the future and calls for action in public health. We have assembled leading and pioneering researchers and clinicians, that will present critically important methodologies that can be put into immediate use and expand access to care that should be of
profound interest to the orthodontic and allied health communities.
