OVERVIEW
Gulfcoast Ultrasound and Electrodiagnosis (EMG) of the Fibular Nerve Training Video is designed to provide an introduction to fibular nerve anatomy and function, electrophysiology techniques, scan protocols, and normal and abnormal characteristics of the fibular nerve and its branches.
OBJECTIVES
- State the clinical indications for performing ultrasound evaluation of the fibular nerve.
- List electrophysiologic techniques for assessment of the fibular nerve.
- Recognize sonographic appearance of the fibular nerve anatomy.
- List ultrasound examination protocols and scan techniques for evaluation of the fibular nerve.
- Identify commonly seen fibular nerve pathology recognized with ultrasound and apply diagnostic criteria for accurate diagnosis.
