Target Audience
The course is designed for all clinicians who work with pregnant people which includes physicians (OB, family medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry), midwives, nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, and social workers among others.
Objectives:
- Recognize and evaluate trauma, including PTSD from the birth experience and the repercussions of the pandemic
- Learn of expanded postpartum care and newer interventions in the world of child birth
- Update our knowledge of medications used to treat depression in all aspects of mental health conditions in pregrancy
- Network with mental health professionals in all aspects of care
